Martha has been coming here once a month for several years. In a morning she can reconcile my bank statement, do my sales tax and whatever other tax and financial work I need done. She knows who to call about payroll issues and how to fill out loan applications. While she is doing the accounting that would take me much longer, I can be making sales calls or supervising the guys in my machine shop. Plus, since she is a CPA, I know it is done right.

Our business started out simply selling merchandise via mail order catalogs and at booths at concert venues. We now also have a booming online business, selling concert tickets and merchandise with a shopping cart that is completely integrated with MYOB and UPS software. Martha has helped us set-up and maintain accounting systems to efficiently track our sales, expenses and inventory. She set up MYOB for us about 12 years ago, and has continued to support our changing needs through a few consultations in the years since we initially got it running. Now that we are ready to switch to the networked version of the software, she has even connected us with a consultant in her network who specializes in Macintosh hardware and networking.

Nonprofit accounting can be very difficult. While there may not be a lot of money to deal with, there are always lots of donations to account for and places to allocate it! That’s how Martha has been so helpful to us at Mt. View United Methodist Church. Martha showed us the need to account for our designated funds and she created a modified fund accounting system which serves our needs better than anything we have ever had.
